babyREADY Zoom classes

At this time we are offering the chance to get as close to taking an "in person" class as possible by hosting prenatal education classes over Zoom.  If you have not registered for Zoom before then you can do so (for free) by going to  The content of the classes is the same as it would be in a traditional classroom setting.

While the focus of the classes that babyREADY offers has been primarily for members of the LGBTQ+ community, the Zoom classes are for everyone and we would like EVERYONE to be able to band together in these challenging times.  Information about the kinds of topics covered follow below this announcement.

The most important part of our classes is always that they be FUN, ENGAGING and INTERACTIVE!! There is nothing worse than taking a boring class.  You won't remember anything that you have learned and it will feel as though it is a waste of time.

When you tell muse that you are interested in registering to take the class with me then we will email you a series of .pdf files that contain the handouts that we would usually give in a binder when you come to our classes.  We then ask you to pay a deposit to hold your spot.  Once we receive your deposit then we send you the "invitation" for the Zoom class.  We simply ask that you pay the balance of the class cost the morning of the class.

Childbirth Preparation Classes for LGBTQ+ Families, Single Parents and Opposite Sex Parents

My childbirth preparation classes are first and foremost designed to be engaging, fun and interactive.

The core content of my classes includes:

  • signs and symptoms of labour

  • what "normal" labour looks like

  • the labour process, start to finish

  • coping strategies - pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic

  • potential interventions and variations in labour

  • life with a new baby

  • breastfeeding basics - and let's debunk some myths

The content of my classes always varies dependent upon and respectful of the needs of the members of the class.  There will always be a discussion about what kinds of permissions you are allowed to ask for and expect, language commonly used and more.

The next LGBTQ+ Childbirth Preparation Class is set to run at Think Chiropractic & Wellness Centre in Burlington at 2025 William O'Connell Blvd. (Unit #2).  THE DATE FOR FUTURE IN-PERSON CLASSES HAS NOT CURRENTLY BEEN SET, DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
