I’m the proud birthing mom of two incredible grown sons, stepmom to a wonderful young woman, and wife to an amazing woman. As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, creating safer, more affirming, and truly inclusive spaces for Queer parents and parents-to-be is at the heart of everything I do.

My passion for birth work started in 1998 after the birth of my first child. Since then, I’ve had the honour of supporting hundreds of births and connecting with thousands of families. Every story, every birth, and every family has shaped the knowledge and experience I bring to my work today.

I’ve continued to grow my skills and education over the past 25+ years. My training includes Certified Fertility Coach & Educator, Birth & Postnatal Doula, Childbirth Educator, La Leche League Canada Leader (and now Board Member), and Parenting Coach. I stay engaged in ongoing learning so I can offer support that’s current, compassionate, and deeply informed.

Queer families deserve access to education, support, and resources that reflect who they are—without assumptions, exclusion, or being treated as “other.” I founded babyREADY to help create that shift.

My mission is to empower 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals, couples, and families with the knowledge and confidence they need to build the family that feels right for them—whether that journey is biological, adoptive, collaborative, or something beautifully unique.

Here, you’ll find inclusive guidance, practical tools, and a supportive community that understands your experience. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Burlington, Ontario sits on the stolen lands of the Ho-de-no-sau-nee-ga (Haudenosaunee), Attiwonderonk, Mississauga, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭ. These lands spanning from Lake Ontario to the Niagara Escarpment are steeped in Indigenous history and traditions.

The territory is mutually covered by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Iroquois Confederacy, the Ojibway and other allied Nations to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.

We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is part the Treaty 3 3/4 (1795)/ Brant Tract Treaty 8 (1797).
